George Bagnall

George Bagnall was born about 1804 at Fall Ing, Sandal Magna, a son of George Bagnall (Senior) and his second wife Ann Brogden. He married Ann(e) Rawling on 10 April 1837, and was, like his father and brother William, an iron moulder. He died in 1859 in Wakefield (registered Q2 1859, GRO ref 9c 8).

1841 census

In the 1841 census, Ann is recorded at Crofton with two young sons, Thomas and Joseph - George does not appear with them, so was presumably away from home on census night.

1851 census

By 1851, George and Ann were living at Heath, in the township of Warmfield cum Heath. George, aged 44, is recorded as an Iron Moulder, born Sandal; Ann, aged 39, born Crofton.
